Mina is a friendly and easily approachable individual who would try to be friends with just about anyone. She is very affectionate towards others and gives all her attention to those who share their precious time with her. Not really a trouble maker, she tends to follow all rules laid out before her and prefers to stay focused during class time. Being an older student, she is intelligent and punctual when it comes to studies and strives to be a perfectionist in everything she does. Loyal to her friends and gives respect to her peers and teachers, Mina can be very vocal in the event of something bad happening, especially in the case of bullying or something being aimed at her. She can be stubborn and stand-offish to those who treat her horribly, she really isn't afraid to stand her ground.

Biography:

Mina was born in Southern Savonia, in the south east area of Finland. Her family lived on a large plot of snowy farmland where her father owned a group of reindeer, trading home produced goods, such as milk and butter, to smaller villages to the south. Her mother was completely the opposite to him, however. She was a fairly famous gymnast who had became a teaching instructor and usually travelled to the central area of Finland on a daily basis. The young Mina wasn't left on her own, she had a mature older sister looking after her constantly. As she grew up, Mina was home tutored alongside her elder sister. The two got along really well and Mina was always inspired by her, clinging to her at every opportunity. Her sister wanted nothing more than to follow in her mothers footsteps. They one day received a letter, inviting the eldest sibling to a prestigious University in Japan. It was upsetting to leave their life style behind but with Mina still very young, the family decided to take a gamble and all move at once.

Moving to the area of Sapporo in Japan, the young Mina experienced a much better family life. Her sister attended the University she was invited too but still remained at home since they lived quite close by. Her mother actually ended up teaching at the same University once her Japanese was good enough, leaving her father at home to take care of Mina. Going through Pre-School, the young girl was bubbly and full of energy, just like her family. She became enamoured by her athletic family and ended up wanting to follow suit. She was always leaping around and flipping everywhere but it was one Physical Education class that put her off for life. During her gymnastic class, Mina took a slip on a piece of apparatus and fell horribly, resulting in fracturing a bone in her leg. Mortified and greatly embarrassed, the event put her off physical activities all at once. What was worse, her sister had finished her first year during this time. Attending her end of year performance, Mina was uncharacteristically sour as her perfect sister flipped, dived and somersaulted, receiving maximum attention from their mother. But during this, something else sparked Mina's interest... their outfits.

When she went back to school with a cast around her leg, she was unable to join in with certain classes. Usually, she would take a small notepad and doodle fantasy styled dresses and frilly tutus. Thus, sparking her interest in fashion. For a while she shunned her studies and started taking out fashion books and magazines from the local library but her parents quickly spotted her decline in grades. Addressing the matter front on, Mina pretty much cried out her embarrassment, failings and insecurities resulting in just one condition; If she would get good grades, she could become a fashion designer. With just this simple goal in mind, she soared head first through school. She didn't really make many friends nor did she respond to any romantic advances. All until she reached 16 and her first waved of exam results came in. Scoring excellently, atleast her results where better than her sisters when she was that age. Although school wasn't finished yet, she felt that this was the first step to victory.

Mina began to ease fashion into her life style. She started wearing make up and fairytale, princess like clothing; just like the gymnasts and ballerinas wore. Her drawings and creative ideas began to mould into real pieces of clothing as she received a sewing machine and other bits and bobs, such as needles, buttons and various fabrics. The constant glint in her eye was enough to convince her family, more so than the cute homemade gloves and accessories she would produce at dinner times. She became so comfortable in her abilities, that she completely forgot her jealousy aimed at her sister. In fact, the day came when Mina received her own letter of invitation. A public High-School with tremendous results and even their own dormitories. Packing her things, Mina accepted right away along with her parents consent and began her new life at Doubutsu High.

Additional information:

• She always introduces herself as Mina and will rarely use her actual name.
• She always wears make up and occasionally contact lenses.
  
• She is completely useless when it comes to things like computers or video game consoles. They just baffle her.
• She rarely participates in physical activities as she fears breaking a bone again but enjoys watching others.
• Shopping is pretty much the only reason she'd walk far.
  
• Fashion is her everything. She has a creative mind for clothing designs and a perfectionist's eye when it comes to detail.
• Isn't interested in modelling but making the clothes and hair for the model themselves.
  
• If her dreams follow through, she would name her clothing brand Misty. 
• Always has her hair up in buns or a ponytail.
  
• She has naturally thick and wavy hair. It always scares her when she brushes it as she molts alot of excess hair.

_{My dog was actually called Misty but I always called her Minnie which led me to call this character Mina. A bit of a round-a-bout way but I still included the name Misty in there lol. She was actually adopted by us but only lived for around a year and a half, as she was fairly old when we got her and had a few internal problems. Her tail was crooked, so we were told the original owners never knew she had some how broken her tail and it healed naturally, so I substituted this with a broken leg. That and she was just super lazy when it came to walking haha but I forgive her because she was old-ish. She was a really lovely pooch who was full of character and I miss her a lot. <3 And poor doggie, we got her on April Fools Day and made it her birthday ;;}
